Discovering New Foods and Recipes for Your Weight Reduction Program

Use low Glycemic food to Create New Taste Sensations!

Traditionally, being on a weight reduction program meant limiting or even eliminating many of the foods that we have come accustomed to and alternatives offered by most other fad diets or programs were uninteresting, bland and boring. Times have changed.

Eating low to moderate glycemic foods to lose weight is not a fad. It's good common sense and for the most part, can provide you with most of the nutrition you will ever need. It's a matter of mindset. After reviewing the list of foods in these categories, one can't be disappointed about the variety of food choices available.

over the past 7 weeks I have personally been involved in the perfect Body Shape program / low Glycemic Awareness program and have literally found dozens of new tasty meal combinations that not only taste terrific but have also contributed to weight loss of over 15 pounds and a loss of over 20 inches in a select group of body measurements. most of all, I am rarely 'really hungry' as the program calls for 6 eating intervals a day rather than 2 or 3. In fact, when I first started the program I had a difficult time fitting in all 6. If my schedule is hectic, I make sure that I have plenty of appropriate grazing food to keep me going without any guilt of breaching the diet.

Although I have had to cut out many of the foods that I previously consumed, I feel that I have more than made up for that inconvenience by borrowing some great recipes available from all over the net, or, discovering my own.

Here are a few examples of my own experiments:

Smoked fish (trout, salmon and even sturgeon) sliced on small pieces of flatbread or rye crisp bread with hummus. Add a fresh vegtable or sundried tomato if you like.

Spaghetti Squash with ground chicken or turkey (instead of pork or beef) mixed in garlic/olive oil/sundried tomato sauce. I cook the squash on the BBQ and add a little seasoning (no brown sugar!)

Cedar Board Salmon on the BBQ (an absolute taste sensation!) with wild/brown rice and garden vegetables like chard or green beans.

Soy beverage shakes with fruit (strawberries, blueberries and red currents are my favorites so far) with a low glycemic meal replacement powder mix.

Chicken or Turkey pepperoni for snacking purposes (especially when you are on-the-go and get to table).

Roasted almonds soaked in water. This provides a slightly different texture and taste as well as making the nuts easier on the teeth to chew.

Sweet Potatoes or Yams - not everyday but a great alternative to traditional potatoes.

egg Salad wraps with Hummus and a sprinkle of shredded parmesan or asiago cheese. Easy on the mayo.

As you can see, the choices are only limited to your imagination. Keep in mind that all meats are low glycemic but be aware of the fat content in some meats as they can add unwanted calories. trim the fat off of beef or pork. Remove the skin from chicken or turkey (prior to cooking if possible). Processed meats should also be limited as they usually have a high fat content, may contain many additives that are not on the low glycemic index (like bread crumbs) or are high in sodium (salt).

So if you are thinking of getting on a healthy and effective weight reduction program that you can follow indefinitely, check out the Perfect Body Shape - Low Glycemic Awareness Program. They have the best Glycemic Index (GI) chart available as well as the benefits of a certified coach, resources and other great recipes.

This Beautiful Sound Box Called Guitar

So you have bought a nice acoustic guitar or an electric guitar. A nice casing with it, some picks, spare strings, a strap a basic guitar chords book or for your electric guitar you bought yourself a great guitar amplifier and some guitar effects rack. Maybe you have tried playing a little here and there. Some of your friends showed you some tricks and gave you a few guitar lessons perhaps but you never really managed to do very well.

If you are guitar apprentice and really want learn how to play guitar well and enjoy the instrument, then you should start from scratch. Do yourself a favor and take some guitar lessons to improve your skills and learn the theory first. It's best to start to learn how to play guitar the right way then to learn some bad playing habits that will be much harder to break later. This wonderful hobby is really an outlet to release all stress of life, it is amazing how you forget everything once you are in the driver seat of a guitar. So many of us are looking for ways to release stress , from taking long vacations to reading books to watching movies, meeting friends for a coffee and so on. Recent studies are showing that playing an instrument not necessarily the guitar but any instrument can indeed remove your stress. I would recommend trying the drums if your level of frustration is very high, but for the people with average stress level, playing guitar or piano is your ticket to relaxation.

I started to play guitar about 25 years ago, taking a few course here and there, listening to records of my favorite groups, buying chord books and what not. Today luckily with the internet, there are abundant information and resources available to all of us to learn how to play guitar. I still think that if you have the budget then hire a private guitar teacher to learn the basics.

Disneyland Annual Pass: How Does it Work?

Buying a 12 month passport to Disneyland gives you unlimited access to either Disneyland Anaheim or walt Disney World Orlando for an entire year. If you think that you are likely to be visiting one of the two parks many times over a one year period then securing a yearly passport makes sense because it can mean significant cost savings. The more often you go the better value you are getting for the initial cost of your ticket. There are two ways that you can buy your year long pass, either in person or online. If you are planning on using your pass immediately then either option is fine but if you are wanting to use it some time in the future then buying it online is best. This is because a yearly passport purchased on the web does not have an expiry date and the clock doesn't start ticking until you first use it at your chosen theme park.

You can get a yearly passport to walt Disney World in Orlando or Disneyland in Annaheim. There are basically two types of tickets: deluxe and premium. If your yearly ticket turns out to be well worth the investment then you can resubscribe for the following year at a slight reduction.

What is so attractive about a Disneyland yearly ticket?
. you get unlimited admission to the main theme parks within one Disney establishment for 12 months. For walt Disney World, Orlando this means access to Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, the disney-MGM Studios and Disney's animal Kingdom Theme Park. At Disneyland, Anaheim you get access to the main area and Disney's California Adventure (DCA) as well.
. free parking;
. while at the park if you spend a minimum of $10 at a disney dining outlet or hotel you'll get at least 10% off the price.
saving on your lodging if you stay at a disney Resort hotel and quote your yearly passport number when you make your reservation
travel from one park to another within Disneyland or walt Disney World in the same day without incurring any extra costs. So in California you could go to Disneyland in the morning, the California Adventure in the afternoon and then back to Disneyland's main grounds in the evening.
jump on to Disney's transport system to get around the grounds or from one section to another
. if a t-shirt or stuffed toy takes your fancy you can save ten percent on the cost of all Disney items for sale.

What it doesn't include:
. entry to separately priced events or activities

The main difference between the annual and premium passport, apart from the price, is that the extra you pay gets you a higher discount on food and accommodation and you get unlimited admission to more places.

If you are a Florida or Southern California resident then disney has special yearly passports for you. However, while these passes are significantly cheaper than the standard deluxe or premium passports, you are restricted to the number of days you can use them to those days specifically nominated by Disney and parking is not included in the fee.

So who buys a Disneyland Annual Pass?
The yearly passport appeals to Disney fanatics who just can't get enough of all things disney but also to those who want to take their time to enjoy their Disney experience. A year long passport means you can go day or night, you aren't as worried about seeing and doing as much as you can on each visit because you know you can come back anytime in the next 12 months. Overall it is a more relaxed way to take it all in.

If you're planning a disney holiday then you'll be sure to want to find out the insider information that the official sites tend to gloss over. For articles, up-to-date news and resources on Disney holidays go to Disney Annual Pass
